A native of Dublin, Irelend, Joe joined MacKenzie Contracting Company in September 2004 as a Project Superintendent, was promoted to Project Manager in January 2008, and to Business Develompent Manager in January of 2012.

His day-to-day responsibilities include preparing conceptual through bid document estimates, contract and bid negotiations, monthly budget reviews, subcontractor scheduling updates and coordination with Project Superintendents, quality control from project start through the punch list process and move in.

Joe brings 15 years of experience to his role at MacKenzie. While in Ireland, he completed a four-year apprenticeship, specializing in the construction of slate, tile and copper roof systems. Joe is OSHA certified and has completed hazmat and CPR training. His list of clients includes Bay National Bank, City of Annapolis, Maryland Primary Care, Vertis, Inc., Proctor & Gamble, Columbia MRI, Pasadena Physical Therapy, Beauty First, Lincoln Financial, Carrollton Bank Corporation, Newman Street Park, and United States Naval Academy Brigade Sports Complex.

Project Experience

Newman Street Park — Complete renovation of public park which included a serpentine Flemish bond wall, specialty lighting and a bio-retention planting area in downtown Annapolis, MD.

Bay National Bank — 3,000 SF renovation of the bank's headquarters branch which included high-end millwork and finishes.

Beauty First — 4,100 SF tenant fit-out for a retail space which included salon and spa facilities along with a merchandise display area.

Maryland Primary Care — 6,300 SF tenant fit-out which included a reception area/lobby, restrooms, patient exam rooms, conference facilities and physician offices.

Vertis, Inc. — 12,500 SF renovation that included demolition and new finishes throughout. New mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems were also included.

U.S.N.A. Brigade Sports Complex — New 130,000 SF building to house an ice rink, indoor tennis courts, indoor golf range, locker rooms, toilet facilities and athletic staff offices. New water and electric services were brought into the site.

Carrollton Bank — New stand alone 2,980 SF bank branch located in Hunt Valley, MD.
