Community College of Baltimore County

The Challenge
The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) has had a long term presence in Hunt Valley with its extension center.  With the redevelopment of Hunt Valley Town Center and the continued strength of the area’s corporate and residential markets, CCBC needed to expand their 9,000 square foot presence and grow their corporate training business.  The challenge was to identify an appropriate site that would allow them to stay in Hunt Valley, have high visibility and a large amount of parking.  

The Solution
MacKenzie worked with CCBC to locate a 20,000 sf location in Hunt Valley, less than a half-mile from their current site.  This new location, on a major road, allowed for prominent building signage which was important to CCBC.  In addition, the single-story building was completely retro-fitted for their specific needs allowing for a very efficient use of space.  The site also included a large, well-lit parking lot, with a parking ratio more than double that of other buildings in the area.
